Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Worth it, hopefully thats a 2+2, jack sparrow's definately one for the kids... big ones like me too:)

What i love about the series, the magic that luke and indy were to me as a kid... i get all that as a 30 something all over again.

Hard to see the film not being anything but great if you buy on the ride that is great cinema.

Just got back from watching it with the GF, preferred the previous films personally as this one seemed to have less Jack and fun in it than the last ones

Went to see it last night in 3D

hmmmmm

Loved the first movie , it was great fun and very enjoyable

There is hardly any of the original cast are left in this one

Meh would best describe it, its not terrible , but it aint good thats for sure
my advice wait for blu-ray/dvd

Went to see it this afternoon.

More stupid jack would have been nice, kera and orlando are a big miss, took a swipe of the soul away from the series along with the supporting characters like the commodore.

The replacements for both were sub par. Couldn't personaly connect to the women or the preacher, both with no backstory or history in the series they both felt bolted on, it's like they give you the continue with jack and barbossa and leave you thinking why tag these guys along for the ride.

The last of the shortcomings for me comes in the disapointment of the swordplay, it's just like Robin Hood... ohh the at it again moments, why do i care, watching it you realy don't.

It pulls up short, im a fan of all the previous three, ofcourse i have my favourites in order, this would drop in behind the others, the magic of the first will allways come out top.

Blackbeard is a worthy fit, and the flack will come for saying it, but i loved the 3d, best iv'e seen in a live action film so far.

The third film is easily the weakest all action and absolutely no plot.

I rather enjoyed Stranger Tides, it was all the better for not having Bloom in it

Saw it this afternoon.

It was... meh.

I'm a huge fan of the first three, but this one lacked the magic. Not a terrible movie in it's own right, but not a patch on the others. I really just didn't give a crap about the characters.

And it was "Pirates of the Caribbean".....

WITH NO CARIBBEAN.

Fail.

Also;
The third film is easily the weakest all action and absolutely no plot.

lol?

The third was the meatiest of all three (er.. four) in terms of story.

There was one thing that REALLY REALLY ruined this movie

The actor who played Blackbeard, i've seen worse villains in a cartoon :(

I saw this last week and thought it was possibly the worst film I have paid to watch at the cinema in quite a while.

Also this was easily the flattest 3D film I have ever seen, which is strange seeing as it was shot in stereo...

Yup, lovejoy... (Ian McShane)

His Blackbeard was complete crap compared to Hector Barbosa/Davey Jones.

And Keith Richards was a crap choice for Jacks dad too. He clearly can't act. I could have played the part better myself.

Crikey, Ironside will be in the next movie :p

This I would like to see.

It was a pretty decent film, I personally didn't feel that the lack of Will & Elizabeth was a bad thing; they did get a bit tiresome in the third film.
I liked Ian McShane as Blackbeard, I'm not entirely sure why that is though.
Penelope Cruz - meh, her character & backstory just made me think they were really desperate for a female lead.
The film did have some cracking jokes though. My favourite being Jack's "I'm in full support of the missionaries position" :p
All in all, I liked it, and if you've seen the first three; you should go see this too.
