The problem is they're so hard to get the ball off, and when you do there's a 50% chance their cheating will get them a freekick. Can't believe they got one from that Valencia tackle.

I think we could have done with Berba on the bench. Chico hasn't had much ball time.
Really really tense game so far. The united goal just shows how easy barca can be ripped apart.

Well we're not losing.
Great goal but our play (with the exception of the first 10 mins) has been shaky. Marking zonally is giving their players soooo much space. For that last chance 4 of our midfielders were marking no-one while Messi was completely free.
Our passing has been too erratic too, VdS's distribution has been unusally poor, several times just kicking it straight out of play
Valencia needs to be more involved in the match, Hernandez just isn't involved at all at the moment, needs to stay onside.
We should be behind on the play but we're not, now lets see what happens.
Give it ten minutes then get Nani on for Valencia. Hernandez hasn't gotten any service since the first 15mins because Rooney is too all over the place and Roo and Carrick are dropping really deep when we lose possession.
My biggest worry is that Evra isn't tracking runs at all, and it's leaving us so exposed down the left.
So far thou they haven't gone to the ref to get anything at all compared to how Barca acted in the Semi-Final with Madrid, Though least ref is letting it play

Love how the offside gets brushed under the carpet. Would that have been the other team the whole off london would have grabbed pitch forks and flames and gone to wembly

No it's the rolling and every player immediately claiming a freekick. Busquets and Pedro in particular.

Players need to believe that they are the equal of Barca, 11 v 11 that's all it is.

Didnt look offside to me. Both the Barca defender and giggs outstretched leg looked level to me.
Borderline at the very worst but no where near a stone cold offside.

Yes it really is that simple. Barca can be got at no shadow of a doubt.
Technically are Utd the equal of Barca, player for Player, probably not. Yet history has shown us that a many David vs Goliath matches in the past are won by the underdog by showing their stronger mental strength and believing they are their oppositions equal.

I think most players just get jelly legs when going up against messi. He movement is unmatched.
