Please tell me this is a joke? Deluded. How Valencia went so long without being booked god only knows.

Better team won. Complete and utter domination, not one corner and 1 shot on target.

Total football at its best, basically won out of superlatives to describe them.

Made united look like amateurs, not sure what there game plan was? Seemed the same as last time. Didn't even realise Chicarito was playing tbh.

Letting Abidal lift the cup was pretty special as well.

How do you beat Barca? It seems either play like them like Arsenal and get lucky or do a Mourinho and have a ridiculously organised defensive team. Unfortunately Utd never really fired and they have been suspect in midfield all season, recipe for ownage really.

Maybe all the Utd fans who lol'd at Arsenal going out to Barca are feeling a little more humble now :p

We battered united onlya few weeks ago playing similar to barcelona i/e tippy tappy passing.

if that wasnt a warning for things to come in this game then what then? Arsenal are a poor mans barcelona yet dominated and beat united a few weeks ago.

Spot on. Barca totally outplayed and outclassed Man U. Made them look pretty rubbish tbh.

They're not invincible though, still lost 6 times this season (although one didn't count because it was a cup game and they won the first leg 5-0 and played a reserve team for the second leg).

You just need to play the game of your life, play a certain way, and ride your luck (but what team doesn't need a bit of luck to win the CL). Madrid played them 5 times, lost two, drew two, won once. They might have done better if Pepe hadn't got sent off in the CL, who knows. If Bender had scored that chance we'd have been going through on away goals (although we'd probably have conceded again lol).

Aye - the bit of luck was pretty much waiting for Messi to miss. Which he did. Tonight he ripped it.

It's amazing that Mess has 3 (did he get a medal for 2006?) Champs League medals already at 23. If he continues like he does he's going to be shattering even more records over the years.

Another Spanish double, 53 goals in 54 games. Madness.

You're right, we should all drop tippy tappy passing and play like Stoke.

Arsenal have a poor record against Man Utd playing tippy tappy football so your logic is flawed. Frankly comparing Barca to Arsenal is an insult to Barcelona.

Arsenal try and play the same way, but they don't manage it most of the time and even at their best aren't that much like them. Why? They have inferior players, just like everyone else.
 
Didn't Messi equal RvN goals for a season in CL tonight?

United playing hoofball as well, not something you see them resorting to very often, that basically sums up the opposition.

United starting amazingly well the pressing and possession they had you would had thought they were wearing wrong shirts! But its impossible to keep that up.
Obviously you can beat them either playing like Arsenal but lets not forget Arsenal were also incredibly lucky to win that game, or like Inter. That United team can't play like that and its probably a reason why people have been saying it hasn't been a great United team.
Then United fans say "Won the league". Lets not forget it has been a crazy season and they got 80 points, which wouldn't have got 2nd last year would it? Their is criticism and rightly so, at times they look very suspect and they have ridden their luck all season.

Not sure on signing De gea for like £20m seems crazy to put a 21 year old is it? GK in one of the worlds biggest clubs, I can't see him commanding and asserting himself anything like VdS did.
They need a real creative midfielder and the talk of Sneijder not so long ago would be such a logical choice.

Still lost to the better team no shame put up a fight for a while but just didn't execute their plan for the entire 90 minutes.

And FYI I'm fairly sure "SAF" with have been planning next season for a while now.
 
Well park was pretty awful on the ball like I said and Valencia was pretty terrible, made no headway with poor delivery.

Gutted going in 1-1 at ht gave us a great chance but our resorting to long ball football was not what I was hoping for.
