Woman lets go of her door wind catches it and Smashes right in our car. Door is all creased and marked.

Have got the woman’s insurance details but was just wondering if this would affect our insurance come renewal or affect our no claims. If I knew about pulling out dents etc I would just do that and save the hassle of insurance company’s. I wouldn't mind generally but our car is mint its a 07 focus and now I can’t help but keep looking at the crease down the door.
So do I need to ring our insurance company or hers.
Never made a claim before.

Thanks

Picture please.

Don't involve insurance for what could be a cheap quick dent wizard fix. If it's more then go through insurance.

You will have a non-fault against your insurance details which can affect your premium.

You should always inform your own insurance company, even if you're resolving the issue privately. If it deal turns sour, your insurance company can step in and take over.

If you decide to claim, ring hers, then tell yours you've had an incident but you wont be making a claim.

This, but your insurance will still go up.

Just claim directly off her insurance, no need to involve yours although you are obliged to report a claim.

Up to you if you don't though and you can give clear instructions for her insurance company not to contact yours, thus leaving it to your discretion.

is this a dent wizard fix or a new panel level of damage?

You cannot categorically state that - it only MIGHT go up. Plenty of insurers do not load the premium for a fault claim, even though many do.

Okay how about "it most likely will go up" - It's not like I bolded then underlined then pinked "will" :p

The 2 non fault accident notifications I gave Elephant and Norwich Union in the past certainly bumped my premium up even when I was told the first time that a non fault claim doesn't increase your premium but when the time came I was told it was increased because there was an accident reported so increased the risk.

The same happen(ed)s to many people.

There's a chance it won't go up.

But it most likely will.
