There maybe other zombie games but none like this with a decent story in single player fps style. I cant wait, last time i played a decent zombie game like this is was a Half Life 1 mod!

This looks great, I cant wait!
Looks very meh to me... didn't really like Dead rising 2 and this pretty much looks like a first person version of that. Beautiful graphics though.
This is PC gameplay with a 360 controller by the looks of it, not 360 gameplay like it says in the description

Certainly 'looks' like a cracking game. IMO these days, looks can be deceiving. Dont get me wrong, I'll keep an eye on this title and hope that it turns out to be a blast cos going by the trailer and gameplay footage it looks pretty damn sweet. Like Far Cry 1 with zombies!
Thinking back to the release of Left 4 Dead, looked forward to that game for ages, that and L4D2 still are one of my favourite games ever. But then in more recent times I couldnt wait to get my hands on Brink. I remember the original trailer for that, but IMO, the final product slumpt and just didnt have the polish I though it would have.
But still, fingers crossed Dead Island will be a corker.
Anyone downloaded the original Dead Island trailer in MP4 format from the official site? Its about 190mb but my god, what a trailer. Awesome CGI and poke around on the net to find an MP4 player that plays video backwards, you can see it playing the right way in clear 'non-youtube' quality.
If you ask me, the music plays as a big part in that trailer as the video. Very well made.

I love the concept because we are sorely lacking in open-world FPS - however this is more melee-based.
Do you think it will be moddable, to become more of an FPS?

There's a shortage of open-world FPS.
Watched some of the gameplay vid. Honestly thank God they edited out some of the walking around bits! Gameplay itself looks awful. Walk a bit, hit a zombie with a bat, walk a bit, hit a zombie with a bat. Melee combat sucks, just doesn't work in FPSs.. Oh Heavens! you get to drive too - and mow down a couple of zombies. This game needs guns. Lots of 'em. It needs lots more zombies too. There's just no sense of being overwhelmed in that footage.
