Hey everyone, me and 3 friends are going to the red light district in Amsterdam end of September and i'm having trouble deciding on some decent accommodation for us for 2 nights. I'd appreciate it if anyone has any recommendations on what hotels (or even hostels) that we can stay in.

We're going for the usual coffee shop holiday and preferably nights out in the red light district so to be as close to there as possible would be great. I'm not a fan of walking too far nor getting a taxi and we're definitely not riding bikes.

Hotel the crown

Google it !

Smack bang in middle of rld it's ace and pretty cheap to and the guys there sorted some wicked stuff out for us if you know what I mean

Stayed at the Hansbrinker twice, not my choice but it was cheap. close to all the bars, about 15-20 minute walk from the red light district IIRC

Hotel 83

We stay there all the time now.

The rooms are large, en-suites are nice and it right in the heart of the action opposite the peep show.

Have tried many other hotels before such as the Vijaha and the Amstelshichts and they are either too expensive or complete **** holes.

Its a shame you havent configured your trust.

Some good recommendations so far. If you do go down the hostel route you could always try Shelter City: < 20e a night, 12 man dorm (includes locker), breakfast (takeaway available), right in (one of) the RLDs.

It depends on your budget though. If you can afford a hotel then definitely go down that route.
