Oh my God I nearly set off for work

Has anyone ever done that on a Bank Holiday Monday?
I didn't realise. I was browsing a camera clubs agenda over the next few weeks and noticed the 30th was cancelled due to the holiday.
I'm glad in a way because I'm feeling a bit off (think it must be the whiskey)

Major plus-point for today: Football at Wembley, so no engineering works on the Met or Jub. That's a major happy day for me!

Humph. Trains still gotta run. At least they're quiet. I think it IS a holiday here in Scotland. We've Lifted peak times and I think I get a lieu day for today.

It is a bank holiday in Scotland, however, it's not one that is very well observed by most employers so it doesn't seem like one. Most stuff here is open as normal.

Forgot to turn off my work alarm and woke up at 6am. Such a fantastic feeling when you realise you can turn it off and go back to sleep.
