Every episode gets worse and worse, i had all 4 seasons on hdd but i deleted seasons 2/3/4 not long ago and rewatched season 1 about a month ago, it's still an epic show to watch if you only watch season 1.

Watched all of it and enjoyed it all, as has been said it did seem to gradually get worse but to be fair season 1 was brilliant so it'd be hard for them to keep that level.

Sylar and Peter going 1vs1 was epic xD
and then Hiro Nakamura just comes to save the day... loved season 1 with a passion.

"Yatta!"

I thought it was a bit overhyped but my wife and I did manage to sit through the whole lot. Was my second attempt, first time around I gave up after two episodes due to being fed up at jumping around to different characters.

One thing I didn't particularly like was the way the writers could 'abuse' plot elements lke time travel, healing etc to resurrect or write back in supposedly dead characters. I know it in theory makes good drama and surprise, but to be honest once you've had like 3 people you thought were dead miraculously working their way back into the story, it starts to wear a bit thin. It got to the stage where you would see someone die and think "yeah whatever, we haven't seen the last of him/her", which totally ruins the normal emotions you get when a character is killed off.

I also thought there were some pretty poor acting performances (the guy who plays Peter just seems like a poor man's Keanu Reeves to me) but fortunately the show has enough different characters to get away with a few weak performances

I think the start of season one was fantastic, and it really got me hooked for the rest of the season. But then... It all just sort of fell apart with season 2. I think I watched the first 2 season 2 episodes straight away, and the third some other time, but I just didn't like it any more. It just got odd plots, and took a while doing nothing much imo. Waste of great potential.

Got to be one of the worst written shows I've ever seen. Great concept, terrible execution.

You had terrible plot holes from a script that had quite clearly not been thought out ahead, a collection of thoroughly irritating characters, some of whom would quite happily switch sides (and therefore personality) at the drop of a hat, despite a desperately worn-out (for a modern TV show) cliche of 'good' and 'evil' throughout it whereby you could only ever be either nicey-nice bunny-loving friend of all, or selfish, scheming murder-on-a-whim nasty.

Just stopped watching at the start of Season 4, though in all honesty I should've given up at the end of the first season.

Looking back on it, it was full of pointless episodes/arcs, lousy finales and whenever HRG, Sylar or Nathan weren't on screen it was so boring.

I have to be honest, and go against the grain a bit here, but I enjoyed every season. There's no denying that season one was the best by a long way, but I had great time watching the others, as well. :)

This. Don't really understand the issue people have with seasons 2-4 myself. 1 was better, but itn was still the same show as it went on. I didn't like the fact they have to screw up Peter's original ability (during season 3) because it was hard to write for, just lazy writing imo...

Season 1 is the best. The rest... *shakes head*

So much potential but it died a slow and painful death. Zachary Quinto aka Sylar pretty much carried the show after season 1.

Didn't they keep changing the writers after Season 1? I know Jeff Loeb was involved at one point. Shame as the concept was brilliant, would have loved to see it in Joss Whedon's hands.

Aye, between him and HRG there wasn't a great deal to be interested in.
