driving nerves

So in a way it's beaten me but I can see me driving when I finally get a new job.

Fingers crossed it does. Nothing more annoying passing your test and think yippee I can legally drive
Then getting in your car and thinking Ah Crap!

Just booked Pass plus - hoping this is going to help

Keep driving, it's only going to get better if you push yourself. I guarantee you will find it more difficult if you stop for a year and pick it up again later.

If you have just passed you need to get out there, build up your confidence and sooner or later it will just "click" and you won't even have to think about it anymore.

I was a bit nervous about driving anywhere except places I knew locally, after going out on a few 70-100 mile trips (each way) by myself, I have no problem with it at all, and drive all over the country.

Just remember not to let other drivers boss you around. Do all the safety checks like you were taught and you will be fine. Confidence comes with practice.

This can't be overstated. I was really nervous after I passed my test, but a couple months of driving everyday and I was fine.

Have you tried having a drink before you drive? Don't go crazy but a couple of glasses of wine or a few whiskeys should give you some Dutch courage and allow you to drive calmly and safely.

Steer clear of beer though - I believe that drinking beer when driving is illegal in uk.

Can't tell if serious.
