Wondering what the most popular online ps3 game is?

Been getting a lot into killzone lately and wouldn't mind taking a look at socom 4 aswell, What's socom like online, is it popular ?. COD majorly bores me now as i find it too repetitive.

Good post. I like how Major Nelson posts the weekly most popular online games for Xbox Live. Sometimes reminds me of picking up old games I thought would be dead in the water.

To hazard some guesses though, typical fare of Fifa, COD, Killzone 3 in the top 5?

Its shocking how the Major Nelson chart has all the COD series in the top 10.

the 2 recent COD's would be in the top 5, fifa 11, gran turismo 5 and some other sporting game (tiger woods or the like).

any recent game is popular, although why choose popular games? choose games you actually like. i like COD and i hated socom and killzone online, they felt too slow.

one game i would definitely recommend is red dead redemption, its like GTA set in the wild west.

Im quite competitive, so the enjoyment from the games comes half from knowing there's a lot of competition out there

I also love action / shooters. That's why im kinda interested in socom.

Thats why I know i'd like a popular action game, but COD doesn't seem to do it for me anymore

Well i found it good when i could connect too a match (I think its a ISP problem), its certainly different too BF and COD that's for sure

Looking online it supports ridiculous amounts of players in a server..

Your put into squads in different parts of the map (though I always got the same parts :confused:

I just got that and MvC3 for my PS3
