I am travelling to Portugal for a week on the 24th and thinking about spending money, I'm not sure how much I'm going to need.

I was thinking of getting one of these prepaid cards rather than taking loads of cash.

The three I have found are the Travelex Globe, FairFx and Caxton.

I basically wanna load around £700 on there and be able to withdraw cash and pay for things on card in euros without charges but with a decent rate. When the holiday is over I want to withdraw the remaining in GBP.

Which one should I go for?

Thanks.

IIRC Nationwide bank cards are free to withdraw oversea, So you could open an account and put the money in there and use the debit card provided to fund your holiday.

Had no problems with my FairFX cards, have used the in Spain, Turkey and Thailand. Get 2 of them and then you can leave one in the hotel safe, and if you lose the card out and about you can transfer the funds straight onto the one in the safe online or vice versa.
