I have recorded and uploaded videos of the matches. Some round are totally one sided with Jester dominating and then balance shifts in my favour then back.

In the very last round I pretty much through it away with Jester taking full advantage, I should have just stuck in the corner and waited it out.

I have to say thank you to Vian_Siu and Robgmun as they were coaching me in playing against Chun Li before the match :)

 
sorry bad showing at the final for me, i was running late, i decided to invite jester thinking he can tell me if he'd won or not, fair play to him, wish i had more time, neway il upload some of the matches later on after i save em. GGz everyone cheers Adz for puttin this together was good fun, met a few more good ssfiv players. the finals well, it was so 1 sided its not worth it, i really should have put out a better showing... but jesters chun man... its so solid...
 
i am disappointed in you lucifurr! you didnt turtle in the last round like i told you to! all you had to do was wait for him to get close and hit him with the dash punch or c.hp his jump.

i think you forgot attacking get penalised in ssf4!
 
Not seen the vids yet but he did good to get 2 games, isn't the Chun - Rog matchup one of Rogs worst? Jester has an above average Chun too, hammered me the last time we played.
 
Lucifurr the last vid is how it exactly went for me... Like exactly same, wen i switched to rog to counterpick chun...

i wouldnt say worst, but chun has the slight advantage only if she dont make mistakes.

balrog can out turtle chun easily in this match up solely on damage output. he is only at a disadvantage if he gets knocked down, but it is not easy to knock rog down or even get close because of his walk speed and dash punches.

let put it this way, it is easier to play rog in this than chun.

with what? s.mp? a smart rog would know it posts no threat and he can beat it with jab dash punch. and if rog knocks chun down, he can abuse her equally weak if not weaker wake-up game and end it quickly.

the best way for chun to win is to turtle with fireball and build meter quickly with lightning legs to pose a threat with super and ex sbk

in order to do this she had to space really well and anti air everything, one wrongly timed fireball or anti-air could mean defeat in this match up.
 
i agree, Rog is Godtier in super, imo, but patient rog player is hard to come by lol i know i lose my cool after a set or so lol :P nah but to be honest you are right, rog with the right mentality can beat chun. But its oh so tough wen your up against a very decent/good chun as Jester is. Always poking, fishing, ambiguous cross ups n set ups, its tough with rogs HUMUNGOUS hitbox... Neway you know about chun a lot right, please any advice on how to tackle chun with guile...? any advice would be appreciated. :)
 
chun has NO ambiguous cross ups! the only cross up move she has is that d/f hk and j.lk and all of that is obivous.

with guile just spam lp sonic booms all day, the godly recovery lets you block if she tries to overhead over the boom and her crappy jump is easy to air throw and c.hp

maybe i just need more match practice against chun, all i ever play is ryu, ryu, ryu, more ryu, occasional akuma... n some more ryu...
