FWIW, 0.4 is just as bad as 0.1, and often the kinda place people (like me) dip into looking for quick solo kills on the gates or stations (indies, cyno ships, and noobs in cormorants being my prey of choice).

Yup, I know I was pushing my luck, i'd had a load of easy runs in the system despite a few red ships being in my vicinity and not bothering me. It's only a 0.4 system next to a 0.9 but i've just found out there are a pure pirating corp in the same system, MOD - Ministry of Death or something like that.
I'm away for 12 days now and will be training my Caldari Industrial V, then a few more days when i'm back and i'll have my Crane
Whats your ingame name i might pop over to that system in my vindicator.
It's really awesome that they did this in eve. More companies should promote these kind of good will efforts.

On alts, i ran a second account, T2 Builder/Inventor & trader. Basically the isk generator. I then transferred him onto my main account when he had enought SP to do those specific things perfectly.
Has anyone any experience of buying/selling & skilling characters for profit, corpy was saying he does it and makes good money

To be fair other companies do, and make far more significant contributions.
Valve, Blizzard, Nc ect create dollar vanity items and raise far more, ccp could/should do the same.
There are many grey issues around ccp's plex/rmt system that stop a significant ammount of their playerbase from contributing whatever the reason for doing so.
If making a contribution has to work on the something for something basis, then a dollar value vanity item or module/ship would be the perfect thing to do to maximize effort.

Funny you say that, CCP are implementing vanity items shop for Incarna.. I had a go on the duality server yesterday, and its almost finished.

Just re-activated my account for 5 days to give it ago again but can't seem to cancel the subscription. It says in payment info on accounts management 'NullPaymentInfo' so I presume I removed it but it was so long ago I cant be sure. Can anyone tell me if I'm right? really don't want to pay for a month and not use it.

Yeah :[ After an hour of solo roaming and finding nothing else to shoot at they start to look tempting - otherwise it's just a waste of 15 minutes GCC time. I hate lowsec sometimes.

At the start keep your goals very short term, otherwise it's very easy to become overwhelmed. Ask lots of questions in the starter corp chat or noob channels too. Lots of helpful people about... Don't trust any of them though.
Server is down for major patch deployment. It'll be a couple of hours till it's up again.
