I generally don't mash, unless the other person does so which puts me into mash revenge mode.

You mean punish my cross up/jump ins, you never punish my wheel kicks with dp, you just block them

yes. block then dp because they're unsafe on block unless at max range.

thanks mate, and dont worry il make sure that i don't put any inputs on our match

though il watch it myself just to see what happened lol. And my main issue is throwing in general, i could have a life lead of over 50-60% health and lose it just to throws it really annoys me, i try to tech as many as i can but when it comes down to a close match, i lose it completely

Totally disagree mate. It is a great game which has plenty of life left imo. Yes turtling helps... at high levels of play, but I guarentee you if you turtle and play a good attacking player, you won't have a hope in hell. So the fact it favours people who turtle is completely irrelevant and shouldn't spoil the game for you in any way shape or form.

It is still a defense heavy game at the highest of levels, except for AE where the top tier of Ken, Akuma, Yun, Yang and Fei Long are all highly aggressive

Definately, which doesn't really affect us at all.

You are a good example actually, with Deejay you turtle very well, he has very limited tools. The fact I find it very difficult to get in highlights my weaknesses, but I don't blame the game for it, nor would I say this game sucks because --- turtles a lot. I think a lot of excuses are actually down to not being very good at the game, hence why there is such a strong dislike of it.

I guarantee if you choose the most turtling character in the game, I can find 5 people who will still beat you easily... so it is irrelevant.

Good offense is quite difficult to do against good players imo. Obviously the character you are using does influence what offensive tools you have. My offensive is not very good for the most part and it's something I have been working on over the last few weeks.

Your defense I found really good when I first played you, I remember being thrashed silly. Your mp.dp as anti air never allowed me to jump in at all. At this point I could have complained the game favours ppl who turtle, its broken, its cr@p eg. blame everything BUT me not actually being very good. That is exactly what it was though because playing you, alex, salu, omh etc has improved my game a lot.

I agree with you though, playing a very good defensive char is tough. I enjoy the challenge though personally.

You have improved a lot since when I first played you that's for sure.

I think the game does favour a more defensive play style due to the ultra combo dynamic etc, however I don't think its that bad especialy at my level of play. I still enjoy playing the game and probably will for quite some time.

I don't play a right lot now but when I am on and I play Adz its ridiculous how much hes improved. Definatley most improved player I know out of everyone I've played with online period

If I turtle with DeeJay you should thrash me, Ryu wins easily with his FB's.

I should but I don't, so it's down to me and you as a player rather then anything to do with the game.

One thing you dont do (correct me if Im wrong as I havent played you for awhile) is throw enough fireballs. I am guilty of this too at times.

imo ssf4 is still the best fighter out there by miles. old sf games were very good, but before third strike, they were so reliant on fireballs it didnt appeal to many. ssf4 favours many different styles thats why its so fun to play. i play mostly aggressive and stil get caned often but still have reasonable success. distorted/adz/madbeats play more zoning and have similar success.
