Colours, Blacks and vivids etc. Is that Bravia screen any good?

I can get some photo's if that helps? Does anyone have any good test videos?

I'll have a play with a device before properly replaying to the question though as I need to find some reference media.

The Bravia screen is pretty good, I'd certainly rank it behind the Retina display and SAMOLED+ though. However, I much prefer it to qHD/TFT/LCD/SLCD.

High dynamic range comparison shots please! (Landscape with bright sky + lots of shadows from buildings/trees etc) plus a usual low light ones. :)

I could be wrong but the Arcs display is just a high end S-LCD panel with a fancy name/software (qHD is a resolution you numpty :p)

Well its a 'high end' SLCD panel so it is a bit different as far as I know :p

I know qHD is a resolution but it also changes the 'perception' of the screen, the Sensation screen other than resolution is actually worse than a normal SLCD  Its the same as the TFT panel on the EVO 4G.

What do you mean?

Sensation has a good SLCD qHD display wheras as the EVO 4G has the same crappy boggo LCD display as the DHD.

And the Arc is an above average screen with good colours and deep blacks but thats it. Viewing angles are sub IPS (IP4) and the Bravia engine just enhances pictures in the picture viewer. SGS2 has a enhancer too.

The first things i have noticed using the phone on the train this morning. The audio plaback isnt as loud and overall it sounds much flatter on music playback. This was using the same 320Kb ACC files. Its also much the same story with incall volume and call quailty.

Which phone you talking about?

If it's the SGS2, get powerAMP and whack up the volume in the equalizer, job done.
