The greatest soundtrack ever made (prepare for nostalgia)

One of my favourite arcade music from a game....anyone who remembers it?:p

I like Penumbra's sad yet fitting music to the game.

I love Hans Zimmer's music and in MW2 it was very good.

The Witcher 2 has some great music, it's really growing on me after listening to the soundtrack over the last few days.

Rome Total War steals it for me though, It's beyond epic.

Good point Sycho, MW2 had some great themes, I liked this one even though in the game you're racing to avoid it!

Crap game but imo the best music to come from a C64.

A great remix that brings back memories of me rushing home from school to slap on my favourite game (not parallax btw!!!). Fond memories indeed.

....ah that does it, I'm gonna dig out my chunky fudge and press play on tape :D:D

I recently got Outrun2006 for PC and hearing those classic old tunes again got me reminiscing about playing the original back in the 80's when I was just a young boy - to such an extent that it occupied my thoughts whilst playing.

I can still remember being an 80's kid with a mullet playing the original stand up Outrun cabinet at Butlins in Minehead on my summer holidays. The fact that you could change the tunes was so amazing at the time; with the steering wheel to boot. Even though I didn't play it a lot back then, I found it poignant that the music was still indelibly etched in my mind after more than 20 years of not hearing it.

All of the original Outrun tracks are great, but whether in original or remixed form, Passing Breeze and the hi-score music in particular are extremely nostalgic tracks for me, both in general tone and in my memories.

I don't miss or dwell on the past, but was surprised at how vivid a visual memory hearing those tunes again inspired. It unlocked a tiny fraction of time that I can remember with crystal clarity.

Some might fine themed mentioned! Big fan of the red alert hell march!

Recently though this is one end song (I guess spoilers!) that just made the game for me.
