Apple vs Samsung, court orders Samsung to show Apple 5 new phones

You've probably read about the "you're suing me I'll sue you too!" antics of the past couple of months between these two giants and recently the court ruled the above^

It will be interesting to see how this turns out, although the court has not sided with any vendor...yet.

Samsung gave Google 5,000 Tab 10.1s so they might as well be released.

It looks like the court has more or less ruled in Apple's favour if they have asked Samsung to do that.

Samsung strike back!

Samsung lawyers recently asked the court to make Apple show them the as-yet-unannounced iPhone 5 and iPad 3, claiming that they need to know what Apple's products will look like ahead of time to avoid future lawsuits and uncanny similarities.

So basically Apple seems to be scared of Samsung and wants to know what they have planned. They also sued HTC too.

I wouldn't say they are 'scared', they are just doing what big companies seem to do. Fairly run of the mill.

This patent stuff is ridiculous, all it seems to do is attempt to stop other people competing, I'm surprised apple didn't file a patent for a "smart phone" all together and stop all other companies doing anything similar.

TBF most of this suing marlarky is just them proving each other wrong: ie if you sue me il sue you for something as equally as picky and stupid. Apple gained nothing from this reveal as Samsung simply dont care but if the judge decides that Apple should show its products and given how secretive they are - that will really get their back up.

Don't samsung supply a lot of the components that make up the iphone? If Apple are suing them, they would just refuse to supply them in the future. In the grand scheme of things, Apple is a tiny nothing of company compared to Samsung
