As recommended by many on here. Fantastic day and an amazing experience.

Just some background to my amazing driving you're about to watch. 4 years at 40 miles an hour so don't be too harsh and don't mention the start! ;)

Nice to see you had a good time :)

I am good friends with a couple of the instructors up at Palmers including those on the pursuit course in the caterhams. Bunch of nutters :P

JP days are the best, but you need lessons on how to change gear. :p

Did you do the single seater later in the afternoon? 350BHP, 550kg and they let you competively race each other. :D

Yep went out in that 1st for the final session. Utterly terrifying ;). Wasn't until I'd been in the two seater jag on the same track that I started to get used to it and then wished I could have gone back.

Still, there's always next year :)

I'm sure a workmate of mine said that you drive various cars on these days with different gear changing methods and stick layouts, so it's easy to get confused if you're not familiar with them! :p

I'm not confused, I did the same day, same cars, had no issues changing gears in any. Gears are either standard 4or5or6 speed manual or a up/down or paddle box. :)

I've been to lots of JP days, luckily all corporately paid for, such a hoot but at £1k a time its probably a bridge too far for the majority of people, but if you can get your company to fund one I'd probably miss my own wedding to go to one :D

Another good motorsport day is the race tuition at three sisters.

IRO of Palmer motorsports - it was a pain getting permission from the MSA to attend the event :-( Just beware of that if you hold an MSA license. Stupid governing bodies!
