i think theres a massive reason for this,

Do

Not

Want

I'm all for bargain hunting but some things just shouldn't be skimped on. That "squeezing" around the locating pin holes looks dubious for a start.

Stuff the nay-sayers.

I've been using almost identical stands that I got from Lidl for years and I'm more than happy to get under a tonne and a half of metal with them supporting. Too many people risk it just underneath trolley jacks, or even worse the crap ones that come in boots, in my mind having any sort of stand is a bonus.

I'm definitely interested at £1 for 2. I do like my bargains (even if my life expectancy might be drastically reduced in the process :D). I'm even going to break my rule of never travelling to peckham unless absolutely necessarily in the hunt for these :).

Just because somebody climbs under a car supported by a jack, doesn't make it safe.

These stands may be absolutely fine... until one of the rivets gives way.

im going to use mine but im gonna be very cautious when i do, very cautious. i just took out life insurance anyways xD

Rivets?

Anyway, at least they look safer than the folding ones that came in my RAC jacking kit that I stupidly purchased many years ago, the whole contents of which is now in a skip :o

I smell a bit of brand snobbery (typical of this board). There is probably nothing wrong with these stands and they will most likely meet all safety standards.

:)
