Hi, I'm looking at buying some ATC SCM11 speakers for my pc. I would like to know how I connect it up? I've tried looking online but couldn't find any good guides.

I have an Arcam avr280 amp running my KEF surround sound, could I use this amp to power these aswell. If not, what is a good rated amp to do so?

Thanks

I have my PC running my surround sound, it goes directly through the amps digital out to my soundcard. But as I want a set of nice hifi monitors for my PC I'm not sure of how I would connect it all. And i've heard these ATC's i'm looking at need a pretty beefy amp, and if my surround sound is running through it already I don't think it would be up for it.

the avr 280 is apparently capable of 80wpc all channels driven according to Arcams website so it should be ok to plug your monitors into the zone 2 channels (assuming your kefs are a standard 5.1 set) labelled rsb/lsb and switch the amp to zone 2 when you want to use them :)

Very helpful mate, cheers. I have a razer AC-1 soundcard, how does this compare to some of the newer soundcards out there, got mine a few years ago, wouldn't mind an upgrade tbh.

tbh, i dont really know much about pc audio as my current hifi is pretty basic so ive never bothered at researching it!

Or should I look at a DAC insted?

if i were to take a stab in the dark, id personally want to get something like the arcam rdac rather than a pc sound card if audio quality was my primary concern
