New 3 series spied in LA

Am I the only one wanting Bangle back? At least the cars were interesting and individual back then, this looks like an F10 scaled down to 80% size on a photocopier. BMW is still not quite as bad as Audi, I now have NO idea whether I'm looking at an A4 close up or an A6 further in the distance

Personally I can't really tell the lines and shape properly till you remove all that crazy paint.

Plus I'm not too fussed about the saloon, it's made for a company car buyer really, the Coupe and M versions are far more interesting to me.

It looks like a car of indeterminate shape covered in a disguise. If you can tell what it looks like enough to moan about the design used then you are better than I am! All I can tell is that its a car with 4 doors and a boot.

But if it is indeed an 80% sized F10, then wow, do want+++

It isnt a hatch. There will be one, a 3GT, but it has a much different profile.

I can't really figure the lines etc. If people make a decision on weather or not they like the design based on the above images then frankly they're pathetic.

On a related note, I loved older BMW designs which had the angular overhang over the front headlights. I haven't a clue what the technical BMW term is called so please refer to an image of an E24 6 series

Apprently yes.

a straight 6 turbocharged engine of some sort, with more power than the 1 series m.

Steady on, they've not even announced the car itself yet let alone trim levels! I'd imagine M Sport will appear 6 months after the car is launched, so you are looking at early 2013 perhaps?

It looks like these pictures are based on the E90 bodyshape though if you read the comments.. it certainly doesn't look different from the E90!

The disguised pictures above definitely look like a new car.
