the heat that moniters give off can cause the snot to dry up in you're nose right?, this could be the cause of nasal allergies for many people without them even realizing it.

This is 100% true, and other electrical stuff can cause other allergies and illness as well. Your fridge for example can cause alcoholism and your oven coupled with your fridge can cause obesity. We have a hoover that causes chaffing around the groin region, explain that ?

The front glass of a CRT doesn't even get hot, the heat is generated in the rear assembly!

Someone is trying to persuade HR they need a new monitor at work

Do you get the same problem in the winter when you turn on your central heating? If not the more likely explanation is we are in the height of allergy season. Upgrade all your plants to plastic varieties and hoover more often to get rid of dust.

allergies are hypersensitivity reactions and have nothing to do with having a dry nose.

dry snot = more stuff gets past you snozzle hole into your internal gubbins?

so though it does not cause allergies it probably does not help?
