On saturday we (8 lads) are going down to London for the day/night. We will be arriving at 12 and checking into a travel lodge in Waterloo

What would you recommend we do in the day, something cultural maybe with a few drinks involved. Then idea for bars, general places to drink at night, going out at around 7pm. We will want to go to a club later on, something like Fabric.

I have no idea about general places and location in London as I have only been once and not been on a proper night out there. I imagine it will be a nightmare if we all just turn up, drink and try to walk around like we do in every other city

Spending money will be in the region of £150 (bus and hotel has already cost £80 each)

All I would say with the club is to get there a little earlier than you would expect to go to a club.

I would recommend Covent Garden :) Lots of fun to be had there, food places, bars etc. Plus the street workers (I mean the statues lol :p).

if you know you're going to go to fabric. book tickets. so you dont have to wait in the massive queue. lot of places to drink around shoreditch / brick lane / hoxton etc but be warned. its hipster country. though it is reasonably close to fabric. just need to get your self to farringdon which is ruddy easy to get to by tube / bus

Well you're close to the London Eye in Waterloo so you could start with that. Then a quick walk over the river to Trafalgar Square (which sucks) and the Tate Gallery (note: not the Tate Modern). From there the numerous eating establishments in Covent Garden are within walking distance.

Also, I'd personally recommend getting one of those open-top bus tickets - they're valid all day, you get to see the city which you won't if you get the tube and they explain what's what, and you can get dropped off at all the tourist attractions.

Its gonna be a nice warm couple of days.... Get down to the South bank and sip a few £5 beers and feel like a tourist. Plenty of people watching to be done there.

Im not sure but i think E4 are doing something comedy related there too might be funny if its still on.

I 2nd the Admiral Duncan , you guys will love it, awesome atmosphere and plenty of good looking people. You will feel comfortable and relaxed i promise.

You’re arriving at Waterloo so have some drinks along the South Bank, do the London Eye. Maybe a boat trip up the Thames or cross the river and head for Covent Garden.

Admiral Duncan is definitely the place to be. All of Old Compton street is great actually.

+1 on the fabric tickets. First time I tried to go with a bunch of lads they wouldn't let us in because they were trying to limit how much of a sausage fest it was. Second time we booked, got straight in.

The Imperial War Museum is near Waterloo Station and is very interesting. Also, free entry. Then go for drinks next to the river. Nightout, I agree with others, book tickets for Fabric if you're going there.

If you're going to Covent Garden then be sure to visit Ben's cookies! Anyone who had a guzzle on the OcUK meet can vouch for me :)

Ended up doing the natural history meseum in the da then going down to the embankment and having a few drinks then around soho and leciester square at night

Ended up going to Fabric and we all got in. Great club, crap music (sat night) and no females. If I was to go to fabric again it would be to Fabric live. It was a killer that it was a Caspa birthday special the night before we went and Ministry was the judgement sunday opening party with Cosmic Gate :(

Still the day was great, had drinks on a boat bar, car park with grass on, a cuban bar and a couple of other places.
