Hmm, at a bit of a cross road here, I could sell it now for maybe £1800 and buy one that's already modded to what I'd ideally like for about £4k or alternatively just spend that money on my one and have something left on the side for when the engine eventually does go?

Currently on 161,000, i've done the last 12k of those myself.

What has been replaced

So far have replaced the rear engine mount that i got for £19, Anti Rollbar Droplink for £6, rear wheel bearing for £40 (those three needed doing when i got the car) and it's going to be having a front wheel bearing on monday that's gonna cost me £25. Oh yeah, and an a pair of oil filters, one fuel filter & one air filter. And a pair of tail light bulbs!

How long do you intend to keep the car for?

About 3-5 years, however saying that if i keep my current mileage up it'll be on 271,000 Miles in 5 years time, that's probably a bit too much!

Funny to think i've done so many miles in around 5-6 months already in the car yet my Capri that i bought in Feb 2005 i've only taken from 81k to 89k in just over 6 years.
