The blood is red in the body...It is only the the way the light is defused by the lining of veins and skin that make it seem blue. Most blood tests you get are done with tubes that have a vacuum in them. The blood in them is red.

Blood in the body is oxygenated, it is one of the major roles of blood to transport oxygen...
