How much arse do you kiss?

At work... how much do you suck up to your bosses?

I tend to ignore supervisors and pretty much any of the mid-level management, but I do suck up a bit to the higher-ups, mainly the overall manager. The logic being that it doesn't matter what the supervisors think, as long as THEIR bosses are happy with me. :D

So how about you? Do you brown-tongue much at work? :p

oh dear:(

not me i am hated at work lol

I get on with people I get on with and can work professionally with those I don't get on with. That's at any level of employment.

this. no ass kissing here. although i do juggle my workload so work requested by more senior management team gets priority, so long as its in the organisations best interest. if not i politely explain why it may not be feasible to meet their demands. seems to go down well enough most of the time.

not me I hate all management, they dont deserve to have their asses kissed as most are incompetent at best and are utter moron yes men basically

i've never been arse kisser but i have kept my opinions to myself (like everyone else) however, i figured that i was no good at this and now work for myself and wouldn't have it any other way

I wouldnt agree with that, at our place, my boss always asks my opinion about workers, i'm the supervisor

none, get on well with most of my bosses and do the job i'm asked but don't suck up and they would'nt expect or like anyone too

Of course... It's the same for me. But if you slagged off Kevin to your boss and suggested he should be sacked, but your boss actually liked Kevin then your boss would be much less likely to agree to such an action.

I don't suck up, I am however the only person sub 35 in my company that plays golf so I speak to a lot of them. However I don't suck up, I like to think I tell it like it is, they all seem to realise that. If something crap I'll say so I'd rather be recognised for doing a decent job than being an arse licker.
There are people like that at my company though and all the bosses are well aware of it.

No, I don't have to - I'm well liked by management because I'm good at my job and I'm a helpful, reasonable, rational, well-mannered employee. But that's what I'm like outside work too, so it isn't something I have to make a conscious effort over.

I do my job to the best of my ability and if it ain't good enough they can sack me.

Simple as..

No arse kissing here, it's a sad, pathetic and spineless way to act.

Stand up for what you believe in and grow some.

i dont do it , but a lot where i work do and there is also a epidemic of the man bag culture with the management. I often wonder what they have in them!
