AMC's The Walking Dead

I'd imagine, if like last time, it will be about a month after the US release. IIRC it started on Halloween in America, then a few weeks after that over here.

The last thread got deleted because people where unable to adhere to the simple rule of posting spoilers, and the 'Oh I just watched the new episode' blah blah type posts when it isn't out over here yet.

2nd series teaser video is online now:-

Doesn't show anything at all, suppose it is only a teaser!

He wants to watch blood spatter getting into his eyes ;).

Hopefully the 2nd series is a bit more gritty and edgy than the end of the first.

oh damnit just saw the date for it to air the other night!
I'm sure it was during the commercial break for Falling skies! will keep my eyes peeled

** SORRY!! ignore me, it might have been burn notice! lol.

please please please have shot and killed the original series writers and hired some that don't think they're better than the comic writer and use the better plot of the comic.

if they'd followed the comic it would have been far more brutal and gritty.

If they leave out all the domestic drama from last season it should be good!

and all that **** would have been solved by episode 3 in a nice gritty way.

And i think if the writers try any of this "lets find a cure" bull**** again they should have them killed by stampeding badgers.

No, that can't have been it, considering it was locked a week or so AFTER the last episode aired in the UK... Or the dons were very slow!

I can't wait for this to start again, should be excellent. This, Spartacus, Game of Thrones and possibly Torchwood are some of the best shows the US have provided for a long time.

Thought this was pretty awesome apart from one thing

Started off great, but when the guys wife got involved there was nearly entire episodes dedicated to her crying and complaining about stuff

There are zombies. People die. It's tough times, I get it. But this is a tv serious about zombies, not some lady's feelings.

things that bother me about this. firstly 6 episodes= 1 season?????? secondly i realized that there was no urgency. simple things like food/medicine/clean water was not even considered. apart from that i enjoyed "season 1"

that's cause they employed crappy tv "space opera" style sci fi writers hopefully they've gotten some good writers that are apt at converting the comics to a tv format and fleshing out the skeleton they provide.

in the comic the whole "ohhh the sheriff , the wife and the best friend love triangle" **** was put to a short and brutal end.
Personally it served as the intro into the world, that it was not a drama about how people will love and live even in this harsh new world, instead it was a stark reminder that innocence is dead and they'll be lucky to make to to the end of the week.

I've just finished watching the first series. I really enjoyed it but like others have mentioned there's too much focus on domestic stuff. I want grit and violence within a harsh world. There's doesn't seem to be much urgency about food and other general stuff either. It sounds like the comic book is just that so hopefully they stop deviating away from it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for anything similar to this? Something post apocalyptic and dark such as "The Road".
