It really depends on the ammount of seed etc but i would say on average about 3 megabytes per second so 30mbps (roughly) but i have seen more!

Infact looking here Traffic Management it looks like now 50 meg is not limited apart from file sharing, so there we go lol. 100meg is totally non managed even firesharing is non managed :D

Edit: Oh never pay the going rate ;) i have always paid less than the going rate, i have XL TV XXL internet (50 meg) and unlimited weekend calls on the landline for 45 quid a month and HD package (virgin dont charge for this any way)

Yeah i only want the broadband as locked in with BT phone line for another 6 months and don't want there TV. Thanks for your help!
