The fans making some wierd noises but my temps are fine. ?

Anyway to fix this?

I cant hear it with my head phones on but i can when there off.

cant really explain the sound on here, but any help will be appreciated. :)

Perhaps the bearings have gone in the motor so the blades are catching the plastic frame? fit a new fan is the only thing to do.

are you sure its not your headphones picking up some static electricity making a tiny bit of noise.

i have some ancient PC speakers that do that. they will make a buzzing noise if the jack is unplugged and touches some metal, or me, or is just loose somewhere.

however, if it is the cooler, it may be that it is a quiet deep noise that is overpowered by the high pitched noises that the fan naturally makes. the high pitched noises will be blocked by your headphones a lot more than low pitched ones

Is there any warranty with the fan with Ocuk was bought not long ago.

Otherwise what fan to get for it then, as the EVO fan is supposedly very good.

You can fit any 120MM fan you want as long as it has a 4pin fan connector for the motherboard fan header.

How old is it?

Well being under a year old should mean you can argue that it isnt fit for purpose, lasted a reasonable amount of time/use, which is part of your customer statutory rights.

Saying that, if you cant be bothered arguing about it with emails, then heres a 120mm fan roundup,

But you will need to find a fan with PWM control probably.
