Meh... Vauxhalls

Cars's.... Why is there so much Macho man attitude about them.... I've owned Vauxhall's for 10years and never had any problems at all with them, infact girls i've dated have said nice car.... I spoke to my sister in law 2nite and ask what would you prefer... a guy to pick you up in a Vauxhall vectra or a sporty volvo or sumin.... reply was, i would care... So long as they knew how to tread a girl!!!!

No girlfriend has ever moaned or dumped me because of it... So why? Seriously is it some kinda of macho man Gayisum or something I'm missing... I dont get it? Woman dont care about the car's guys drive surely? It seems more like narrow minded guys trying to prove something to each other...

Not disputing that at all... but why so much hate over Vauxhall... my mate annoyed me with his comment 2nite.... "when will you learn about Vauxhalls?".... Learn what like.... They are great cars.

No they aren't. They are normal everyday cars that lose out (most of the time) to other manufactures who do every day cars.
To suggest they are great makes me think you haven't driven many cars!

Golf GTI
Subaru
Corsa
Escort GTI

Astra SXI
Transit
Pick up.
Been in my uncles Porsche

Perhaps for more money i could get better, but for the prices i pay for cars has been great to me and my family so again why the hate?

If in your mind the money you decide to save on a better car is worth it then great. Why even ask here, you sound like you will go for a corsa regardless

For the record this thread was as a result of sum1 replyin to my status on FB saying dont even thing about buying a Vauxhall.... That statement seems to be simular to that of this section of the forums!

Because other cars of similar cost are better, generally. Oh, and the interiors on 99% of recent vauxhalls are horrid.

Yeah exactly. They use cheap plastics and I find the interiors look tacky. Take much of the new astra/corsa line with the glossy black centre console and steering wheel sections. It looks horrendous and cheap.

Oh and op people actually buy cars to enjoy them rather than to just pick up ladies :O

See thats odd, because I liked the similar interior in the insignia, infact i rate the insignia quite well. But it just doesnt work as well in the astra for some reason

Yes becuase ofc i need a *Fully star out swearing please* looking car to pick up the ladies.... i'm sure they'd love the child seat in the back!

But really what does it matter? To me how much money i have left the bank and long term cost is pretty high up the list over any thing else you know !

I had actually had a lapse and forgotten about the Insignia. That's an interior I do quite like actually.

This is what I hate about several Vauxhalls including as the picture shows, the corsa vxr:

Vauxhalls are crap, mostly. However, the only ones I do like are the Monaros, VXR8s, VX220 and the Insignia VXR. I think its safe to assume you like Vauxhalls because you've never experienced anything better.
