Ok so I just reheated some leftover chinese takeaway from last night. There was: egg fried rice, noodles with chicken, battered chicken ball things, spare ribs.
I heated it for about 5minutes full blast in the microwave, from chilled.
Am I going to get food poisoning and die a horrible death?

I am mad bro

Just make sure it is piping hot when you're serving/eating it. You'll probably get a couple of people saying that reheated rice isn't safe but Chinese people reheat rice every day (even rice that has been left out on the side for a couple of days and not even in a fridge) and they are fine. Just make sure that it's properly reheated!

Yes, you're going to die. Maybe not from the dodgy Chinese, but you'll die eventually.

On the positive side, at least you wont be able to post new threads.

As per the title of your thread, yes, yes you are. But not from this food.

I nuke rice regularly and have not been ill. I had some chicken fried rice yesterday, left over from Thursday night, nukes it for 5 mins with no problem.

Unfortunately the cooking process doesn't kill the heat-resistant spores or the toxin produced so once the rice is cooked the bacteria grow and thrive in moist, warm environments.

So if you're not going to eat rice straight after you've cooked it, then you need to store it in the fridge – as soon as possible, but definitely within four hours. Refrigeration won't kill the bacteria but it will slow down its growth – any uneaten rice should be thrown out after three days in the fridge.
