With SGU gone and BSG blood and chrome months away what if any sci fi space tv series are being aired ?

red faction origins came out last night in america.
i think it was just a one off made for tv movie from i think the syfy channel
not exactl SPACE though

i liked the red faction games, so might give the tv movie a watch. As for other space programs they all keep getting canceled these days not given much of a chance.

No point releasing a scifi show its just gonna end up in a recession black hole.... or be downloaded by 5 billion scifi fans that will end up killing the show.

Fringe!

Bar that there's not really much. There's "Doctor Who" which a lot of people classify as Sci-Fi but it's really fantasy fiction. "A Town Called Eureka" is Sci-Fi but it's very candyflossy and pretty softcore sci-fi.

Terra Nova is due out but I can't see how sci-fi-ish it's going to be other than the constant dinosaurs.

Falling Skies sounds like it could be decent enough.

Oh, and the upcoming Star Trek and Stargate reboots which will bring them into the new decade with hip and more relevant stories for today's discerning audience.

lets hope http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1704292/ will be good and not get canned
its pretty sad really as there seemed to be loads of space stuff around when i was growing up in the 80s and 90's :(

i supose nasa not getting the funding for the missions they wanted like moon bases etc is largely to blame were used to the same type of boring missions which do nothing to capture the imagination or generate enough intrest into space scifi

That and space shows are expensive yet aren't watched enough, reality shows are cheap and are watched by millions.
