Burnt human hair!

Not unexpected reactions! I tend to suppress this liking as I realise it's not exactly a common thing to admit.

My wife thinks I'm a little odd but she used to provide me with her hair! Sadly the smell of it burning wasn't something she liked to smell so I've not done it for ages.

I absolutely love the smell of burning hair. I also love the smell of burning fingernail and burning skin (not unexpected as it's essentially the same). As a kid I was attacked by someone who'd lit an aerosol can spray in my face. No long term damage thankfully, but the smell is one I really like oddly. I used to keep my hair when I was at the barbers, keep my nail clippings and used to bite the skin off at the edges of my fingernails so that I could burn them. Most people think I'm odd. I'm inclined to agree, but I can't help it.

After the attack I remember walking to a crematorium specifically to see if I could smell them burning the bodies as I expected that to be the most awesome smell in the world. Thankfully no smell was experienced and even I think that was a little extreme/creepy/psychotic!

I'm sorry but that is really ****** up :|

Makes you feel bad for the n0tzis.

Also Luke, you're a sick puppy and no mistake.
The best thing you can do is kidnap someone on a dark quiet night, maybe pose as a taxi driver or something. Construct some sort of basement dwelling and keep them healthy so that they continue to produce plenty of hair, save it up so that once a month you can go on a burning spree and just savor that smell bro, just savor that smell. But not too often or you'll burn the follicles and shoot your load so to speak. Maybe that smell ages with the hair like fine wine. I don't know, it's up to you to find that out.

Either way, things burn, and they smell. This much we know.

:o

You make me think of that hair guy in Charlie's Angels. Although he didn't burn it so I guess that makes you more weird than him... :p

The reason it smells so bad is because (and I don't remember what exactly) but some part of the hair (maybe the oil that covers it) is made out of sulphur.

So there you go it smells bad because you essentially burn sulphur.

which only "smells" bad because it's not healthy for us. it's our nose which has decided that because it's not healthy for us to smell sulphur that it'll make it so we don't like to smell it to stop us.

the reason it always smells the same is because it's always made of the same thing which is keratin. it's not like my hair is made of wood, yours out of plastic, someone else's out of grass.

You're burning keratin. Keratin is in everyone's hair. It's always gonna smell like burning keratin. Same goes for burning fingernails because that's also keratin.

That's why it always has that smell.
