Seems like someone is liking the slightly colder weather tonight!

Can only really get away with 100% fan speed on a loud action game like Crysis (not that 100% fan speed is actually THAT loud...), but still amazed considering :D

Since getting my Raven 03 I've been trying to push the card to 1ghz again, and it looks possible now I can keep the card much cooler. Was playing at 1.236v* and it seemed happy. Need to install Crysis Warhead Benchmark since that always used to make my machine crash like nothing else...

(*seems a bit low to be true though. Need to bench more!)

Card is a 5850 Asus Direct CU btw. God knows if my sig mentions it...

Sort of looking forward to winter now!

Fan speed at 100% and it idles at 44 degrees?

My 5870 is sat at 48C with a fan speed of 20% and its only down clocked to 500/600

Multiple monitors?

I would set up a custom fan speed profile in afterburner as I doubt it needs 100%

I usually set the fan manually to "whatever I can stand" at the time ;)
55% used to be the hotspot, but now I've got a different case and it's by my feet instead of above my head, not sure any more :P
But as I said, if I'm playing a loud action game, sometimes I can shove it to 100% and not hear it at all... :D
I also usually prefer my PC to have a uniform sound rather than fans speeding up and ramping down all the time...

Just all messing around for now anyway.

The main reason I posted a screenshot of the fan running at 100% is I was amazed at the temperature. It's amazing what a new case, fresh paste and a bit of coldish air can do! :O

well i got a 5830 sposed to run hotter than the 5870 and this is my idle
