I wanted to know if it was illegal or legal for anyone (public) to record using there phones inside a private business/shop?

Thanks in advance!!

Not illegal as such but if asked to stop and/or leave you must comply as it's private property

Don't know or care what the law is...

Their premises, their rules.

If they don't want people to film in there, that's fine. If they don't want ugly people in there, that's fine. If they don't want ginger haired people in there, that's fine. If they don't want gay people in there, that's fine. Etc.

If you don't like their rules that's fine also, the door is that way ----->

No but they could take em to court over discrimination, it happened with a gay couple and the owners of a B&B.

Not for being ginger or ugly though, there's no rules about appearance, only race, religion, sex and sexuality
