Far Cry 3 Thread

tbh, they have a lot to improve. Far Cry 2 had a lot of good ideas that just needed better execution.

I really wanted to love that game, but it was just so bad.

I will try not to let that cloud my optimism for this game, and the teaser doe look nice, but i payed full price for Far Cry 2, so not great memories:p

So am I right in thinking the original creators of Far cry are behind this? As the sequel was turbo **** imo. The trailer looked pretty good for a small taster of whats to come my only gripe is that there wasn't enough swearing. :p
 
Screenies look excellent, good video, too. Like many others, I just hope this doesn't turn out to be all packaging and no content.

Nope, I am enjoying it. The trick is to play it in bursts, I've had it since Christmas and still haven't finished it. However, I have played around 24 hours of it so far, and still only just got to the 2nd map. Tis fun driving around and sniping people with the dart gun!

Don't really get the hate of the 2nd one, I think its because they tried something different, didn't quite reach it, but instead of being going its a good game, just not great, they are calling it a pile of **** for some reason. Talk about over the top responses, but I guess nerd rage is a dangerous thing.

Respawning enemies doesn't suddenly make the game bad, and neither does the slightly irritating AI that can see you from a fair distance away.

I'll wait for user reviews, rather than trusting all the praise most reviewers gave far cry 2, what a mess that turned out to be.
