Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

I'm pretty sure the guns will sound (if they were also used in MW2) the same as the last game.

Oh I have an idea -

As everyone knows the Prestige edition of the game including it's contents is yet to be announced, so lets see who can correctly guess what it may contain.

I will kick it off

An RC Helicopter made up like a choppergunner from the game.

and the prize for the correct guess is a kiss from Angelina Jolie or an Internet cookie if she is unavailable :p

metal shiny tin box for your game,a Statue of price or some other character, and prob a quick release device for your credit card that you fit in your wallet, that will come in handy when you buy all the map packs and other stuff they bleed us dry with

I predict the prestige edition will include a life size ghillie suit, you could pair it up with the night vision goggles, lol.

Prestige edition will come with god mode, walking ac130 and all unlocks and max prestige unlocks. Unconfirmed but may also come with a device which either retracts or completely removes your balls in an effort to make you sound 10.

Either that or a toy car.

I heard that it's going to be mandatory to be an annoying, whiney kid to play that game. If you're over 18 you get kicked from the game.

Im in two minds about this.

Half of me is annoyed that i'm going to be loosing some of the features i've come to love about black ops, and getting back some of the ones i hated about MW2. And from the SP games so far, it looks so similar to the MW2 SP campaign, i could practically write it myself.

Its stale, its old and it doest move the game on the way i hoped, and in some ways is a step back.

But on the other hand, COD has always been fun to play, and easy to get lots of mates from Work etc.. and from on here playing it. And the return of the MW2 netcode will make the MP quite enjoyable again.

I really don't want to like this, but i've got a feeling i'm going to end up doing so.

In all honesty it depends which features IW decide to keep in from Black Ops.
If they keep the balancing that Treyarch have done and just mix it with the best of MW2 then they'll have a winner.

from the sounds of it none of the balancing is going to come across. All of the talk is about the changes / improvements from MW2. Its like Black Ops doesnt even exist to them. I know they are two different studios with 2 different ideas etc.. but its annoying if it means the consumer gets shafted when they get all petty and refuse to carry across good improvements Treyarch made just because they came from treyarch. Which is the impression i'm getting.

We'll wait and see however.

Agreed, for me Infinity wards biggest success was map design. I could almost over look the short comings of balance and a game for campers because the maps in the main where so good. Far better than anything in blops (although Waw had some decent maps).

How much of this will carry over into the new game though with new people working on it. The SP will just be the same game, people critise halo for being the same thing and being tired. Well atleast that hasn't been the same game released every single year.

I must say it would be tempting to finish off the game if this is the last of the storyline.

Ditch the stacking killstreaks.
Sort out the gun balance.
Are they allowing party chat this time?
Nerf the sniping and tubes.

Hopefully this time you won't be able to carry anything other than a handgun as a secondary, that worked so much better on COD4.

So ditch the stacking killstreaks so people camp more to get there killstreaks?

Lets be honest the high killstreaks in Black Ops are all pretty pointless (apart from dogs) as they can be shot down easily.

I've gotta be honest, after reading people's comments and thinking about it i'm more in favour of stackable killstreaks. If it stops people camping it's good by me!
I don't think they need to nerf sniping. They need to nerf QSing. I have no problem getting killed by a sniper if they're sniping properly. But if i've got somebody 10 feet away and they beat my AR then it's just annoying.

The dog tag system would work well, so people have to move to get kill streaks. Or if their killstreak kills people, they have to collect the tag from the opponents body rather than hide in a corner.

Being honest, stacking KS's on MW2 wasnt a problem.. its a team game at the end of the day (for the most part, how many team modes vs 1 FFA? well, 2 if you count HC), designed to be played a such. Two people with launchers render most KS's redundant.

I do not know why people get so het up about stackable killstreaks.

There are not that many problems if I am honest with MW2, the only real one for me being QS'ing. Tubes are annoying, but hey ho that's life, cannot expect every weapon to be nerfed.

The other issues with the game were down to hacks, and hopefully MW3 will be like Black Ops and it wont be an issue.

So ditch the stacking killstreaks so people camp more to get there killstreaks?.

It works both ways. You camp to get one started because getting the ball rolling was so important in mw2. You also camped to make sure you don't die when you get towards the upper tiers.

KS shouldn't be getting kills for you so much. As I said it was easy enough in mw2 to go 10-1 KDR and barely have to pull the trigger.

Yep you can use the launcher to bring down air units but you found not many people wanting to risk their own streak to get killed trying to bring down air support. Or wanting to lose an excellent secondary weapon.

Blops got round that to some degree by having the sam turrets and secondary that was less use, so more people carried a launcher.

Another way would be to remove the KDR stat completely but that will never happen.

Imo the fastest paced COD was 3-5-7 non stackable. It would be nice if like COD4 only one air unit up at a time.

If they keep harriers in I hope they can shoot down enemy choppers like in MW2. I always found it funny sticking a harrier in just after somebody put up a Pavelow or Chopper Gunner :D Or even idiots who put up a chopper while an enemy harrier was already up

Yep, loved that :)

I have a feeling that "false" info that leaked from Kotaku may have been coorect. Or some of it anyway.
This is a pic of the M4 complete with dual scopes

Looks quite similar to the one from the trailer!
