Hi, my rig turns on and my cathodes light up, my fans start spinning, the fan controller works, and I can hear the HDD spinning up if I listen closely, but I am getting no display on the monitor, and none of my USB ports have power (guessed by the fact my keyboard and mouse don't light up). My rig is:

i5 2500k @3.3Ghz
HIS AMD/Radeon 6970 2gb gfx card
Custom Liquid Cooling set up for both
Asus P8P67 LE motherboard
1tb SATA III WD Caviar Black for C drive and another for data
8GB Corsair RAM
Silverstone Strider Plus 850 Watt PSU

Any help? Thanks

Check everything is seated properly (CPU, GPU, RAM) and all power cables are secure (24 pin & 8 pin to motherboard, 6 pin & 8 pin to the 6970).

Have you tried a CMOS reset?

Not related to the problem, but you have that graphics card and a custom water loop and you haven't overclocked the 2500k? On a more relevant note, doesn't a CMOS reset normally require more on the order of 10 minutes to be sure?

I had it overclocked to 4.2Ghz but it kept freezing so I removed it

I don't think the OP has the patience for 10 minutes.

They could only wait 20 minutes before bumping the thread ;)

I built it. Overclocked to 5ghz and kept taking it down.Prime was fine for 8hrs at 4.
be patient Will!

I'm pretty certain that something has broken but my best bets would be mobo or possible graphics. Your k/b doesn't normally get continuous power until the comp goes past POST and onto logon screen. It will normally flash once fairly quickly - check that it does.

To try and rule the graphics card out, I'll lend you my 8800GTX tomorrow and you can try to see if it POST's.

Hopefully the mobo is fine.
