Haf x drive bay noise

Changed My drives to the drive bay in the case and its making à wired noise on startup for about 10 sec

What sort of noise? A buzzing/shaking vibration noise?

If you don't what sound it is making how do we know if we have the same noise?

The most likely case is the hard drive cause the case to vibrate. Depending what surface this is on it can be amplified.

First the sound is there only when using drive bay and if it was vib then it should do it more then just on startup

My Cooler Master Stacker 830 Nvidia Edition makes a lot of noise on start up from vibration. Bother cases are CM and both of our sounds are from hard drives. I think its vibration causing your noise.

Like i said its only on start up

Yep, like I said, exactly the same as what happens to mine and mine is vibration. So we probably have the same issue, I just haven't rubber padded everything as im making a new PC in a months time.

But until I hear the noise from your case and you cant describe the noise it, we wont know for definite.

Already have an ssd and when i plug out the hdd it still makes the same sound its only like this when connected to the drivebay

When connected or fixed in place in the HDD rack?

Its connected to the front drivebay with screws

I would say this is vibration, simply because it is the exact same problem I have, and I know what the problem is on mine. Have a search for a hard drive anti vibration kit.

If anyone else fancys giving their two cents, please do so.

Maybe because your drive/drives spin up on start up?

It hapens even when the drive is unpluged only stops when i unplug the power cable from the drive bay

This is what I have been saying since the start of the thread as well.

I think you will have to live with it or get an anti vibration kit. Nothing is actually wrong with the case/hdd.
