Hi,

Long story, but basically my wife is taking a 2 day course on processing/ enlarging negatives and processing techniques (This is the course http://www.photofusion.org/education/coursesworkshops/darkroomprinting.htm)

She is not a photographer herself, but loves the whole development and processing side of it. (it stats Tuesday)

She is doing it as she is writing a fiction book where the main character is a professional photographer/ exhibitor and she wanted to get some hands- on experience in some of the processes the guy might go through.

Basically a friend was supposed to take photos for her and process the negatives, but he has just told her now he cannot do it! (He has had about 2 months and told us now!!)

She is really upset and fears she is about to waste the cost of the course because of this 'friend' and she cannot cancel the course.

THE ASK...

Is there anyone based in the London area (We are in Greenwich) who can help us? Ideally she is after artful, candid shots of people 'out and about' (It's all linked into the plot of the book). but at this stage, I think she would take any decent photos that would be suitable for the course. She needs to take processed negatives and the photos need to be black and white.

If anyone could help us, it would be really really appreciated, and we'll recompense you in any way you think is appropriate (Including some free prints).

We can come and meet you, travel to collect anything anyone can provide at our own expense, will make it worth your while, etc.

Thanks!

Let me check if I have anything to hand, both myself and my girlfriend shoot a lot of film still, I mainly shoot slide film at the moment but she shoots a fair amount of b&w 35mm and 120 film - do you have a preference?

My b&w tend to be in this vain...

But I'll need to work out where the negatives are though, may not be practical but I'll see what can be done...

In south west London by the way (Teddington).

Thanks for the quick reply! I will email her and get back to you shortly (She's at work and has no access to the Internet outside lunchtime)

Has your friend actually taken the photos and just not developed them? Or have they not done anything at all?

He's done nothing at all :|

He kept saying he was going to do it at the weekend, etc, and finally said he was going to do it today. Then at lunch time he emailed her to say he couldn't do it.

.

Well 120 and 35mm film are both fine for the course and my wife has no preference, she just wants anything she can get hold of that fits her criteria at the moment :)

Thanks again!

Thank you kind folk of OCUK (esp bigredshark).

I think she has found someone to do it on Saturday at the editorial department of her workplace, so things should be OK now.

Thanks again though!
