Anyone know if any mobile networks will be doing the awesome looking HP kit as a combo deal? Since they have all the touchstone tech it makes sense to me but details are scarce.

It'd be good to get the tablet and phone for say £35 a month plus what.. £100-£200 one off?

No chance at that price. It's untested hardware (both tablet and phone, it's sorta only relation - the Pre, sold like a dog) and no network likes untested hardware. While I'd never say never, I highly doubt you'll see this combo appear.

I'd love HP to do a combo offer like the Pre3 & Touchpad each coming with a Touchstone charger for say £700. Shouldn't be too hard for them to pull off, knowing them though I highly doubt it...... :(

Would be great but the touchpad 16GB WiFi only is coming in at 400 and I imagine the Pre3 will be above the 400 mark.

Hope we get more news about the Pre3 soon :-)

I was thinking more along the lines of £400 for the 16gb Pre3, they can't afford to price it too highly. The smartphone market is simply too competitive with big selling, instantly recognizable brands all vying for your money. I don't think the Pre brand is strong enough to compete in the eyes of Joe public unless the price is right.

£700 for the two products would make a saving of £100 for the customer whilst getting both flagship products in the hands of more people using attractive bundle pricing! :D

I wouldn't say no to a bundle for £700, fancy trying to convince HP it's a good idea? :p

i had a quick look at the toughpad and pre 3 at Gsl, i loved the toughpad tbh, its really nice to use, quick and works great with the pre 3, say yor browsing a web page on your phone and wamt to view it on the pad, just put the phone onto the sensor of the pad and it opens up that web page.

The stacking of apps was quite snappy to, If HP had the support for apps like Android and Ios it would be a contender, but for now its not.

Both are excellent, having spent many hours hands on with them.

Then again i would say that wouldn't I, seeing as I work for HP!

Deffinately going to put my employee purchase discount to good use over the next few weeks. Just wish I'd waited on ordering my new phone for oncall - Pre2 - and it's not even here yet!

What's the battery like on both? Do you know if the early July date for the Pre is true?

Sorry to bombard you with questions but I'm interested in both but don't think think the marketing machine is letting out enough information yet :p

When you get them, pictures and stuff please! :)

Battery on the Touchpad is a decent 6300mah and a few hours intensive use seemed to barely make a dent - better than my Transformer in tablet only mode that's for sure.

Battery on the Pre3 is only 1230mah but in my experience battery usage seems to be lower in WebOS than both Android and iOS.

Yes, July date is true.
