Megafactories - Jack Daniels

it ironic that the state of Lynchberg is a dry state :p

but there is a law that lets you sell one commemorative item (or something) and they sell gentleman jack.

one place i must visit in my lifetime.

Gutted I missed this. I had the opportunity to take a tour around the distillery in Lynchburg in 2009 and it was amazing fun. The tour guide was this super-grizzled old guy who had loads of great stories about Jack Daniels and the history of the company. JD was only 13 when he started the company!

Yeah, it's the most interesting Megafactories episode they have chosen so far.

really?

I was just coming in here to say that i thought it was rather boring compared to most of the others i have seen.

Might be because im more interested in actual engineering than making alcohol though.

Yup, I have a total thing for NG shows lol, got about 220 now in HD :p

Coca cola was a good one for me as I love coke. The car ones are boring for me, with the exception of Rolls Royce. Caterpillar was also a decent one.

I've watched most of them and last night I watched the Lego one.
Did you know Lego is the biggest tyre manufacturer in the world?
I also liked how during the slump in Lego's trade adults bought it back to life by hacking into motorised lego (forgot what it's called) and instead of Lego taking people to court like most companies would they invited the hackers in and worked with them.
I've just got the Heinekin factory to watch now.
