best card for under £100

unsure if i should buy a 5830 or ?????? any suggestions best price i have had so far is 83 for the 5830 but what about the 5770 is that any good?

Depends on the price, if they are at there new prices when they were released then no.

£50 for a 9800gtx till i can afford something better this or should i just fork out for the 5830

Unless the 9800GTX is new then no. At least the 5830 will have least 12 months warranty if you buy new.

A 5770 is equal in speed to a GTX260 216core version, but also has DX11.

I would suggest you wait and keep an eye on the offers each week my friend. Last week the 5850 was £115 I do believe, yes slightly over budget but worth the extra.

I would suggest the 5830 as a bare minimum for a budget gaming card. Although funnily I had suggested a 5770 for a specific budget build only to discover that during that week the 5770 and the 5830 were the same price!!

The 460 (the competitor to the 5850) is still a good last gen card but for a new one to be purchased on your budget is doubtful. Any that are will most likely be the "cut down" version.

I do believe it's wednesday that the new offers are posted (correct me if wrong). I would wait and see if something more appealing drops into your price bracket.
