Think I'll be heading down the new PSU and 580 route. Hopefully my i5 750 will run it pretty well, I'd be surprised if it didn't tbh.

remember just cause people like devs say where playing it on a 580gtx doesnt mean thats what you need to max or even play smoothly.

it wont be mega high but a good cpu is what id be worried about more than a top end graphics card.

Pc and xbox and completely different platforms so you cant really make assumptions that they will be the requirements. I would agree though that a quad core and mid range card will play the game just fine.

Don't forget, the engine can SCALE, so if they do it well (i.e. Unreal Tournament 3 or TF2), then it should play on a very good range of hardware, while still looking awesome.

i did a test when bfbc2 came out a dualcore at 3 gig and my phenom 955 at same speed it some cases it was nearly double fps.

DICE haven't released any requirements yet and those were confirmed fake.

You really should stop giving bad advice.

it's been said the game will be dx 10+ yet you are telling people a dx9 card will run it then a few days ago you were telling people they would need a dx 11 card not a dx 10 card..

yes it will have to be a dx10 11 card to play it on pc but it will be around that for minimum spec and a dualcore.

I doubt that if you had a pc the actual specs of the xbox :

CPU: 3.2 GHz PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon
Memory: 512 MB of GDDR3 RAM clocked at 700 MHz
Graphics: 500 MHz ATI Xenos

That you would even be able to boot BF3.

A direct x 9 card is not "around that spec" when the spec needs a dx 10+ card.

Ah i put petrol in my diesel car, "it's around the same spec" so it'll be fine....

heck even the cod games built for the xbox barely run on a 7800.

But they will be 'reducing' the game for the 360 due to it's hardware so basing a PC's specs on the xbox is wrong.
