FTTC Resellers

According to checkers by the end of the year we may well have FTTC in our area.
Estimated speeds of 35mb/8mb are certainly appealing.

Is it only BT that can offer an FTTC service or, like with ADSL/ADSL2 are there numerous resellers that can also offer it?

A friend of mine is on a "Sky Enabled" exchange which apparently will be live for FTTC at the end of June.
Will Sky be able to sell him an FTTC connection?
Or would he have to get it through BT?

ADSL24 offer FTTC so no BT arent the only FTTC provider out there at the present time.

Enta offer it, so plenty of choice from their resellers.

Zen, Eclipse, Aquiss, etc are all doing it

. Far more out there than just BT retail!

Except all are far more expensive than BT unfortunately, apart from Plusnet who are slightly more expensive (but then are owned by BT anyway).

You do indeed, and I was wary of going with BT but in the end the price difference between them and the others (would have preferred Zen) was just too high.

So far it's been fine. I'm just hoping it stays that way, as I understand their India-based support is awful.

Maybe I'm being blind but there's one important column missing... traffic shaping / throttling. Heck even if you don't torrent some guys on BT Retail are having problems playing BFBC2 due to it!
