If you like BlackBerry's its pretty much your only option if you want a half decent browsing experience.

3.2" is just going to be too small imo :(

Meh wasnt that impressed with the original torch which i had for 6mths or so, the keyboard on the torch sucked balls tbqh...once the novelty of it wore off i sold it and got myself a 9780 Bold.

The BB to watch out for is the 9900 Bold...its wrapped in a stainless steel surround a la iphone style and has both the keyboard and touchscreen....has much the same specs as the torch2 though.

Hopefully out by July/August time....will definitely be my next BB phone...might even sell my iphone4 now as its boring the hell out of me lol.

Is it just the playbook that will be able to use google apps, or the phones aswell?

The playbook at the moment isnt set up for google apps....all the BB devices ive used can use the google apps easy enough...i use google maps, google talk sometimes and google synch easily with my 9780....my playbook as i said has a few issues using google maps and other google apps.

I'm pretty sure it will just be the PlayBook, Google would never allow that on phones.

What are you talking about??...of course there are google apps available on BB devices ie google maps, google synch and google talk..all of which work on my BB...its just the playbook that doesnt seem to play nice with google apps.

I think we have wires crossed, the playbook will have access to the android app store, that's what I meant, android apps not google apps. I think that's what robbo was replying to anyway..

Ohhh lol...ok apologies to Robbo....yes only the Android apps will be available to the playbook once they get the android player up and running...rumours are around July/August time it will be pushed out to playbook owners.

BB and Android should join forces, they could both do with taking on certain elements of each other, BB needs to be more fun and androidy, and Android needs to be more professional and stuff. Still with separate identities tho.

It's too damn thick. I find the Torch 1 the same and after it's been a couple of months through daily usage it starts to creek and the screen element has developed some play on all of the Torch handsets I use.

I wonder if they've improved stability of the software though as the current T1 isn't that stable from time to time.

Thats why i wont go back to the Torch2....build quality wasnt that great, mine developed creaks over time but software wise i never had any issues and i was updating to the leaks and official versions.

If this is your criteria I suggest you check out the HP Pre3. It has better specs and a much better OS. It is already on pre-order and out soon.
