Yes - they are one of the better panels out atm for hardcore fps gaming - they are pretty decent panels all around infact, granted its 6bit TN with average viewing angles, but they calibrate as well as you'll get with a 6bit TN with good 6500K color accuracy and deep blacks along with a sharp image - shame you have to be close to dead on angle wise and theres dithering if you look for it. Build quality is solid (except for the base which feels a bit flimsy) backlight bleed is minimal, input latency very low and residual imaging (ghosting) limited. Very little else comes close for hardcore gaming i.e. playing Call of Duty or Quake games to a high level of skill - but I guess thats a fairly small market. Its pretty reasonable for 3D Vision as well but I don't rate that highly myself.

The LG panel which I guess you are referring to is good to but for fps gaming this one would have the edge for me despite the lower resolution.

Most of these panels get fairly close to optimal color calibration with these settings:

Red: 48
Green: 35
Blue: 41

Contrast: 75

Brightness: Your choice - 24-40 works well.

Actually no. :D

Its just it really bugs me when people read the marketing blurb and assume its accurate and factual. The given ms response is about as reliable as marketing contrast ratios.
