Currently doing some home improvements. Have a radiator or 2 amongst other things. It may not be worth much but its pretty heavy. Any one sold scrap metal before?

Lead copper and aluminium. Dont think the other metals are worth enough to count, tin foil is like 16 pounds for a ton :D

Slates off the roof is another thing people will nick if given a chance as they add up to something

Shame on you timmy85, op might be just the who they catch, not worth doing it.

Get caught, you face a fine up to £5000, your bound to have a local recycling/ skips place near you.

Just leave it outside your house. Scrap men will come round and take it :D

That's the best way to get rid of bulky stuff round here just got rid of an old fridge to them yesterday, although when I moved last year and stupidly left a bbq and some garden furniture outside the house for an afternoon it evaporated very quickly :o:(

Yep they do around ere' always in a Transit pickup shouting "SHHHCRAPP METALSSSS" through a tanoy type thing, always makes me laugh.

White transit, with wooden boards used to make a cage type thing. lol :)

We only get the passenger ringing a bell.. Here ye here ye, give us ya scrap :p

I'm not saying I fly tip or that I condone fly tipping. I'm just commenting on how, in my local area, there is a massive problem with fly tipping! :(

If they flytip enough radiators that you can collect 1 ton of them, that must be worth something I think though maybe it wont cover the petrol used moving them

Price of iron ore has risen like a lot of things
