So she didnt see my car!?

I'd have thought the 'Paint rep' might be from the company that the paint comes from? Something similar happened when one of the lads in the workshop had some bodywork done in coachworks. I think the 'rep' came out twice... The sprayed panels are still a noticeably different colour :D.

i gotta say why the **** cant they match this paint? iv seen my man match that TVR multi colour thing in a correct way, these people are just rubbish.

As said throughout the thread, the colour is notorious for being incredibly difficult to match. It's not just EO, there are other colours which cause the exact same issue and having to call a paint rep out to help match it doesn't make someone a rubbish painter.

Yea it does it makes them rubbish, exactly that, rubbish, let me say it again for you, they are rubbish.

If they cant match a colour that makes them rubbish.

See when the day comes when i cant describe a diamond, it makes me rubbish.

Do you have trouble getting your head round the word rubbish? It means i cant do my job properly.

Because it's a 3 stage pearlescent, not like your average metallic

So what i can think of 4 paint shops in london that i GUARANTEE can match that paint, if hes gone to a paint shop that cant then they are rubbish.

I wouldn't know as i know **** all about painting.

But from what i've read i don't think its entirely their fault. Ford stopped using this paint because it was so hard to match and they get so many complaints.

Given what ive read from people who can paint, i very much doubt their "guarantee" would hold much water with paints as difficult as this to paint.

But never mind. He's chosen ford know so theres no point arguing.

You know why i dont sell coloured beans on a string for a living? Cos i dont know jack **** about coloured beans.

When i call my self a paint shop and i cant match a colour its time to go down the job centre.

Im not disputing any of that im just saying they are rubbish if they cant match a colour.

Also i know **** all about painting but i do know a man who cant match a colour, that makes them rubbish.

What so god forbid they couldnt order a tin of the ready mix? God forbid they have to waste a couple hours experimenting with colours, or god god god forbid they paint more of the car so it blends.

You picked a rubbish body shop, it happens, choose another that can paint a car.

because with these pearlescent paints its not about the colour

Its about the way its painted.

You clearly don't know much about painting cars, how paint systems work or how colours are matched.

So what?

If i paint cars for a living and i cant do it its time to go car jacking for a living instead?

What do you do for a living? If you kept ****ing it up how long do you think you'd have a job for?

This is a completely **** stupid waste of time argument, if this lot cant match a colour they best try road sweeping instead.

No i dont, but i do know that when the day comes when a paint shop cant match the colour of my car i will be moving onto another paint shop that can, because they are rubbish.

And without fear of sounding like a **** iv had more cars painted in more colours than you have had hot dinners, and this ****** about i cant match a colour the customer does not need to hear.

does the fact that they kept messing up that one colour so much they stopped using it while continuing fine with the other colours not tell you something ?

Why don't you take some advice from the people in this thread who have provided information on why bodyshops may be struggling to match the colour instead of gobbing off about a subject which you have openly admitted you know nothing about.

Yea it tells me they didnt match the colour right or they didnt paint enough of the car to make it match.

What am i arguing for i dont give a toss, your my hero Minxy, you keep singing the praises of rubbish body shops.

What the people in this thread that think its fine to not be able to match a colour?

Yea your right, and when i think about it i dont really care if they paint his car yellow with pink stripes, but you are wrong, if his paint shop cant match a colour they are rubbish.

In fact let me double down on that you silly **** and get a ban, if you think "i cant match the colour of this car" is acceptable behaviour from a body shop good on you.

You seem to be missing the fact that the bodyshop haven't released the car back to the customer. Instead they've tried to get it right, admitted they aren't happy with it and called in assistance in order to return it to the customer in a fit condition. I'd say that was fairly good customer service as it goes. Clearly you're a far more demanding customer.

Chucking your toys out the pram doesn't make your argument anymore valid, it just makes you look like an idiot.
