Is this getting silly?

I have 3 open right now. I sometimes have more open if I'm researching/downloading/sidetracked :p but it's always a minimum of 3.

When I'm writing something and doing research I'll normally have maybe 100 open spread over different windows and screens, but day to day I normally max out at 3-5

Pretty much...

I use the "Tree Style Tabs" plugin for FireFox, it puts all your tabs in a tree structure to the left of the window, I don't mind sacrificing a bit of width for better tab management. I also use another plugin called "BarTab" which doesn't load the tab contents after a browser restart until you click the tab, saving memory and initial startup time.

I find this critical at work where I have to shutdown my computer, I like having the browser as I left it, especially as I often have several programming references open and it takes me ages to get back to them if I close them.

I often have 8-10, including my three pinned tabs (GMail, Facebook, Twitter).

I struggle to see the point of having 50+ tabs open. With that number, it'd be quicker to open a page again from the URL bar than to find it amongst your tabs!

I don't really have anything to add but has anyone else noticed that the OP has become *gasp* a bit more fun since his name change? It's really good to see :)

Who did he use to be?

But you can't see what any of them are! How is finding a page amongst all those tiny tabs quicker than just loading it again from the URL bar?

Ahh, but there's this magical thing i can do in Opera, when I right click and scroll, I can visually navigate my tabs. Most of my tabs are things that I've gone onto and thought, "I'll read it later" so they're ones I probably wouldn't memorize the URL for.

Do you remember the URL for every page you've wanted to visit?

Nah I'm just a quick reader

I normally have three browsers running with about 15+35 tabs open.

First tab is normally full of Anime sites, second is normally full of every day forums and the third can be anything from email, youtube, current sites am searching at, online retailers.

The Anime and Forums normally open them all by book mark.

I wish Firefox would allow you to close all three browsers and open all the tabs in them instead of just one. But I have got around that by force closing the .exe in Task Manager, that recovers them all when I'm finished. :P
